Tier 1’s Quality Control
As in any manufacturing process, we first go through the development of the idea. Then its realisation and, finally, the relevant quality audit. It is well known that in the automotive industry, the quality of the parts is one of the most sought-after requirements. We know it’s a demanding sector with too much global production. The safety, efficiency and aesthetics of the car depends on them.
So if their importance covers so many essential areas in the manufacture of a component, what about quality controls? How can quality be controlled to avoid unnecessary errors?
Our Solutions…
At Eines Vision Systems we have different solutions for TIER 1’s, from cabins that check that the part is correct to tunnels through which a moving car passes to determine that the components have no faults.
 The internal and external component cabins are our most developed solutions. They work through sensors that help to identify if the part is correctly positioned or not. The component to be analysed has a sticker attached to it with either a QR or a barcode (depending on the part we are inspecting).
The QR or barcode is identified by one of the cameras in the upper part of the cabin. The programme responsible for representing the inspections can read whether the requirements of that part are met or not. It also determines if that part has a defect or is in breach of any of the characteristics required for its correct functionality. These cabins are customised to the consumer’s needs, for example, if they want to have sensors or not, among others…
