EINES at SURCAR Europe Congress 2025: Automotive Paint Innovation and the Power of Collaboration
On June 25 & 26, we took part in Surcar Cannes 2025— The event was held at the Pullman Cannes Mandelieu Royal Casino, where our salesperson Darío Kühnle and Julio Cervera represented EINES Vision Systems alongside our partner ICEMI, with whom we shared a joint booth and stage presence.

Surcar combines one-hour keynote sessions with dedicated networking breaks, offering constant opportunities to connect with engineering leaders, paint-shop managers, and innovation directors. The expo area—just steps away from the conference room—ensured a continuous flow of visitors between presentations and booth visits.
Key Highlights from our Agenda
Opening Remarks with Strategic Focus. The event kicked off with insights from the Surcar President and the Head of Paint Planning at Volkswagen, emphasizing energy efficiency and digital transformation across paint processes.
Innovative Technologies on Display. Notable presentations included a case study on Maserati’s Modena Paint Shop and a showcase of Pixel Paint, a selective printed paint technology.
BYD’s European Strategy. Alfredo Altavilla (Special Adviser Europe, BYD) outlined the brand’s expansion plans, sparking lively discussion around competitiveness and localization.
OEM Vision for the Future. Day two featured updates from Renault, Audi, and Stellantis on plant restructuring and sustainable paint processes. Audi also presented their collaboration with the VASK Automotive Manufacturing Center (Bizkaia) and Mercedes-Benz Vitoria.

Exhibitor Pitch by Darío. Our business development manager delivered a focused presentation on EINES’ full inline inspection solutions for paint shop, which stood out for its clarity and impactful visuals.
Joint Talk on ESFI + AutoRepair. Julio Cervera and Joan (ICEMI) introduced the synergy between EINES’ ESFI Surface Quality Inspector and ICEMI’s AutoRepair system—offering a seamless solution from detection to automated repair.
